Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes is an autobiography by the creator and producer of Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and Scandal talking about the year she decided to be brave and say yes to things that scared her.  Shonda Rhimes is a shy introvert and always said no to opportunities that took her out of her comfort zone.  After being told by her older sister that, "You never say yes to anything."  Shonda challenges herself to a year of yes.  Read how this change in attitude changed her entire life.

I'll be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara was released in 2018 after the author died at the age of 46 in April of 2016.  McNamara coined the term the Golden State Killer and did years of research tying three different California crime sprees to one man.  While she did not live to see the killer brought to justice she did help shed light on the crimes and raise awareness of what had happened.  A well researched book for fans of true crime works.

No Bad Deed by Heather Chavez is a debut thriller featuring veterinarian Cassie Larkin who witnesses an altercation between a man and a woman as she is driving home.  She stops to help, not realizing the consequences of her actions.  Now the man has threatened her, stolen her vehicle and knows where she lives and who her family is.  Will she and her family ever be safe?
