Off the Grid by Robert McCaw follows Koa Kane who is the chief detective for the police force in Hilo on the big island of Hawaii.  Koa starts his morning with a fatality accident where a car is t-boned by a county road truck which turns out to be no accident.  Then he gets called to the site of a murder in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.  What is happening in his normally quiet community?  When he gets a visit from the CIA he knows it is much bigger than he suspected.

Big Lies in a Small Town by Diane Chamberlain introduces Morgan Christopher who has been tasked with restoring an old mural for the grand opening of an art gallery.  Morgan has never done art restoration work before but as she gets started on the mural many questions arise.  She wants to find out more about the artist who created the mural and what happened to her in the 1930s while she was working on the project.  Told in alternating chapters from Morgan's point of view and that of the artist Anna Dale, the story unfolds piece by piece.

Miracle Creek by Angie Kim is a courtroom thriller that looks at the secrets we keep and how things are not always what they seem.  When there is a fire in a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber that causes the death of two individuals the case seems open and shut.  But did the woman accused of setting the fire that killed her autistic son really do it or are others withholding critical evidence?
