Forty Thieves by Thomas Perry follows husband and wife P.I. team Sid and Ronnie Able as they try to track down the killer from a year old murder.  However it seems an unnamed party does not want the murderer to be found. So they have hired husband and wife assassin for hire team Ed and Nicole Hoyt to stop the Ables.  What is it about this murder that makes it so important that the killer not be found?

Sweetgirl by Travis Mulhauser tells the story or 16-year-old Percy James who is trekking through the woods of northern Michigan in a blizzard trying to locate her druggie mother who is off on a bender.  Percy doesn't see her mom in the farmhouse where she thinks her mom should be holed up but instead finds an abandoned baby who is about to freeze to death.

Circling the Sun by Paula McLain is the fictional story of Beryl Markham who grew up in colonial Kenya during the 1920s and 1930s.  Beryl was the first female horse trainer in Kenya and the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean from east to west.
