Murder at the Mansion by Sheila Connolly introduces Kate Hamilton who has been asked by her best friend from high school to return to her hometown to try and save the town.  There must be a way to revitalize the town using the old Barton Mansion as an anchor. Then Kate finds her high school nemesis dead on the front steps of the mansion.  This could be a problem.  First in the Victorian Village cozy mystery series.

People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks tells the story of the creation and journey of the beautifully illustrated Sarajevo Haggadah.  Hanna Heath a book conservator has been tasked with restoring and preserving the codex.  As she is working she finds several interesting items which help tell the story of the amazing journey this book has undertaken since it's creation in 1480 in Seville, Spain.

Before the Fall by Noah Hawley tracks unknown painter Scott Burroughs after the plane he was on crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on a routine flight from Martha's Vineyard to New York City.  There were some very powerful men on that flight and speculation is rampant that this was no accident or mechanical failure.  All Scott knows is that he and a four-year-old boy are the only survivors and he is being called a hero until some wonder why he was on that flight at all.
