Class Mom by Laurie Gelman introduces Jen Dixon who has been talked into being class mom for her son Max's kindergarten class.  Jen is a little older than the other parents and this isn't her first rodeo so she plans to whip them all into shape.  This causes some problems when Jen steps on toes and now some of them want her removed.

The Good Girl by Mary Kubica starts with the disappearance of Mia Dennett an inner city art teacher from Chicago who also happens to be the daughter of a very powerful judge.  When it becomes obvious she has been kidnapped the tension ratchets up. Told from the point of view of Mia's mother, the police detective and Mia's kidnapper the suspense continues to build.

The Secrets of Wishtide by Kate Saunders is a mystery featuring the indomitable Laetitia Rodd, a 50 something widow who makes discreet inquiries.  She has been given a case helping a wealthy family find out more about their son's fiancee and her background.  This mystery series is for fans of Agatha Christie and Downton Abby
