The Lioness by Chris Bohjalian

aired the week of October 19, 2026

The Lioness by Chris Bohjalian is set in 1964.  A-list actress Katie Barstow has just married her childhood friend David.  The couple start their honeymoon in Paris and then head to Tanzania, Africa for a photo safari where a group of friends join them.  This luxurious safari is filled with amazing animals and everyone is enjoying their time until men with rifles take over their camp.  What do these men want and will anyone live to see another African sunrise?  Recommended for fans of Wiley Cash, James Lee Burke and Martha Hall Kelly.
