The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George is the story of Jean Perdu owner of the literary apothecary.  He has a barge floating in the Seine that is his bookstore.  From this bookstore he diagnosis the maladies of his customers and prescribes books for them to read.  He can help everyone but himself.  There seems to be no cure for his broken heart until....
