Deep into the Dark by P.J. Tracy is the first in a series featuring LAPD homicide detective Margaret Nolan.  She and her partner are investigating the suspicious death of a man in a high rise when they meet Sam and Melody who are coworkers at a trendy bar.  Sam a veteran with PTSD might be good for the murder but there are many other things in play and the body count keeps rising.  A gritty character drive police thriller, for fans of Harlan Coben, Reed Farrel Coleman and Robert Crais.
