The Force by Don Winslow tells the story of Denny Malone a decorated 18 year veteran of the New York City police force.  He is the King of Manhattan North Special Task Force and the unofficial leader of "Da Force."  All Denny wanted was to be a good cop but a little at a time he has slipped over to the other side and now his carefully constructed world is about to come crashing down all around him.
