Driving the Green Book a Road Trip through the Living History of Black Resistance by Alvin Hall gives the reader much background on the Green Book why it was necessary and many of the concerns of Black travelers during the era of Jim Crow and even after.  Filled with photographs and packed full of information this is an eye opening read.  Pair this title with Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man by Emmanuel Acho.
