Half of What You Hear by Kristyn Kusek Lewis introduces Bess who is trying to fit in, in the small, quaint, insular town of Grayhill.  It is where her husband grew up and now that they have moved there she is definitely the outsider.  When she takes on a freelance journalist job interviewing the town's most famous resident and town pariah she thinks things might change.  What she uncovers is a decades old mystery that Bess feels compelled to solve, even if cements her outcast status.
