Collecting the Dead by Spencer Kope introduces Magnus Craig better known as Steps who has been dubbed the human bloodhound due to his ability to track predators across any type of surface.  Steps is part of the FBI's elite special tracking unit and they have a killer on their hands.  He has been coined the Sad Face Killer for the sad face he leaves at each crime scene and he is about to strike again.
