Pearce is the story of Emmy who dreams of being a lady war correspondent.  She is very excited to get a job as a junior for the London Evening Chronicle only to find out she will be working for a magazine called the Woman's Friend.  Not exactly how Emmy pictured helping out with the war effort against the Nazis.
