The Maidens by Alex Michalides introduces group therapist Mariana Andros who is struggling to come to terms with her husband's death.  Her niece Zoe is in college at Cambridge when Zoe's best friend is found dead in a field near the college.  Zoe is convinced the killer is a professor that was having an illicit relationship with her friend and Zoe asks Mariana to come help investigate.  The more Mariana looks the less things are what they seem.  For fans of A.J.
