When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi is a slim thought provoking memoir written by 36-year-old neurosurgical resident Kalanithi.  Months before his residency ends he finds out he has stage IV lung cancer.  Now Kalanathi and his wife Lucy must decide what is most important to them in the short amount of time they have left together.
