Broken Places by Tracy Clark introduces Cass Rains a former detective on the Chicago Police Force who has become a private investigator.  Her good friend Father Ray Heaton feels he is being followed and strange things are happening around his church.  When Cass finds him and a young gang banger dead in the church she knows it isn't the murder suicide the police are suggesting.  She vows to find her friend's killer no matter the cost.
