The Do-Right by Lisa Sandlin introduces private investigator Tom Phelan who is just getting started in the trade.  He hires Delpha Wade as his secretary even though she has just been released from Gatesville correctional facility for women where she has spent the last fourteen years for killing the man who was raping her.  The year is 1973 and much has changed while she was in prison.  Follow the pair as they start out with a couple of interesting cases.
