Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart - What was your best summer? Your favorite memory? This is the story of one unforgettable summer for two sorority sisters from the University of Iowa. They go to New York City during the summer of 1945 and get jobs at Tiffany & Co. as their first female pages. What a time of change it is too. There is no better time to be in New York City than this. It was such an enjoyable quick little read. I highly recommend it.

Wesley the Owl by Stacey O'Brien was a very interesting book. I really didn't know anything about owls and I had no idea they were so intelligent. Stacey adopts Wesley at 4 days old and raises him and keeps him for his entire 19 year life. He has an injury to one of his wings so he would never be able to live in the wild. It is an amazing story of the relationship between an owl and the person who loves him. I'm really glad I'm on a nonfiction bender right now otherwise I might have missed this one.
